![]() The video quality settings do not stay to the settings I have chosen across the entire platform (every time I go to the next episode I have to re-do all the settings). Is there anyway to switch to simulcast outside of the player? I didn't see any options when looking at the full episode list.ĮDIT: Going back to the previous episode and switching it to simulcast then going forward doesn't work either.Īs someone coming from Animelab, the Funmation player/website is seriously lacking even the most basic things. is there a big difference between uncut and simulcast?ĮDIT: Forgot the most crucial part. The problem is that there is no gear to switch the video to simulcast before the player goes black within 5 seconds.Įven so. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it.ĮDIT: It might have something to do with Uncut vs simulcast since the player defaults to simulcast since uncut is a premium feature I don't want to deal with the hassle of ads if I already pay for an account.ĭoesn't that seem a little backwards that the video works fine when you are not logged in and when you DO log in for something you pay for it doesn't seem to work?Īnyways I'm 2 episodes away from finishing this anime. Just being curious I wanted to see what would happen if I tried to watch the episode not logged in, I was fully expecting to hit some sort of "pay wall" but to my weird surprise the video started to play just fine. It didn't work on my computer on chrome when logged in and it didn't work on my phone where I was logged either. I even removed ad block entirely and will just reinstall it to chrome once I finish just to remove the potential hassle of turning it on and off all the time but now I'm about to finish a series and it is happening again. I disabled ad block and relogged funimation like some other people on reddit suggested and it seems to fix the issue. The player will seem to load fine but after about 5 seconds the player just goes black and doesn't respond to anything Short version is that every now and then I get to a episode in an anime that wont work Videos sometimes not loading and going "black" when logged into a funimation account All my favorite anime are dub-only on Funimation and as much as I love the original Japanese, I have vision issues that make it very difficult to keep up with subtitles. The next episode, no matter what, will be a black screen. Deleting and reinstalling the app, signing back in, and searching lets me watch one (1) episode. When searching for and playing an episode, no matter the episode chosen (MHA, black clover, gundam, one piece, I've tried several) the screen goes black and reads "Sorry, but this video is not available. Skipping forward or backward does nothing to fix it, but does make the gap considerably wider. Then you hear the splat while watching the egg fall. The video will show their hand open and-show their hand open. Example: A character drops an egg and it shatters. Pausing for 30 seconds fixes it for about 5 seconds. The app will stutter and desynch the video and audio. ![]() I have to open again, search for the right episode, find my time, then rewind the next episode as it'll start playing at the aforementioned time.Ĭasting (Chromecast). Phone app will randomly skip the last 1/4 of an episode, skip to that time in the next episode, and crash. Through the website I cannot queue episodes to play, episodes do not play automatically, the skip button does not function at all, cannot pause while in full screen. I'm just now trying Funimation for the first time and oh boy, I'm having all kinds of terrible issues.Ĭomputer (Google Chrome). ![]() "Sorry, but this video is not available."
